The Kenyan government estimates there are at least 700,000 guns held by the civilian population, of which only 2% are legally registered. So are these guns a threat to law and order or a useful means of personal protection? Alan Kasujja visited a gun range near Nairobi, to hear the view of Anthony Wahome, chair of the National Gun Owners Association, a former police officer, and one of the armed civilians who helped rescue people during the terror attack on the Westgate Mall in 2013.
